We are happy to offer digital copies of the Kewaskum Statesman newspapers in a word-searchable PDF format. This is an extensive project in which copies are slowly being rolled out, so please check back often. Newspaper editions missing from the archived collection are marked "Missing."

Search Disclaimer

A search is based on locating specific words in the electronic text of documents. However, in many cases, this is dependent on the conversion of the text in paper documents to electronic text through Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Because of the age and condition of some paper documents, the OCR may not recognize certain characters and words correctly. Please keep this in mind when using full text search, as these anomalies may affect the results of your search.

Technical Information

These newspapers have been digitized through the work of Kewaskum Historical Society volunteers and the Wisconsin Historical Society. The collection was created using a combination of technologies to convert printed newspapers into microfilm, to convert microfilm into TIFF (Tag Image File Format) files and to convert TIFF files into word-searchable PDF (Portable Document Format) files.
